ooooooohh! i just order a lomo action sampler flash!! I'm so excited.
and soon I7m getting a laptop, which means I'll get internet in my home, which means I'll be a better "lj"er, and I'll be able to post pictures!!! Yay!
Also, I've decided to stay in Japan for another year.

hello. it's been awhile.
I'm doing ok. Here's a quick summary of things that have been happening:
*Made a bunch of brooches/earrings/notebooks and sold them in a flea market
*I was a mod minnie mouse for halloween
*My pa and step mom visited me
*Yuji(a boy I've had a huge crush on)finally disappointed me and made me feel used
*I was dating a boy named O chan but things didn't really work out...no heartbreak there
*I still have decided if I am staying...but I'm leaning towards yes/maybe
*I've been really creative with food
*My friend Momoka moved to Tokyo
and so much more...

Ahh. I'm conflicted. I have to decide if I want to stay in Japan(at Aiko) for one more or go home, or find another job somewhere else in Japan. I have to decide by Monday!! Even though the kids are adorable, I'm worried I might get bored. Eppp.
If anyone is looking for a teaching job in Japan I can give you first dibs! There will be 2 open positions for sure...possibly 4. Let me know! |

yay I'm finally updating.
Doing good! What's been happening:
*I went to a small Japanese style party with Oza and a French boy named Joel
*Had my art show and it was really neat
*A cute Japanese boy who is shorter and skinner than me has a crush on me
*My dad is coming in October
*I had a creepy Canadian boy kinda stalk me
*A friend is leaving Tuesday

oh our trip was fun!
i was so scared to be with another person 24/7 for 2 whole weeks but it was actually good. i think i am shedding my old "i like loads of time to myself" skin.
we saw the dolls& took pictures, climbed mountains, drank fruit flavored teas, ate sweet japanese treats, and made friends along the way.
i was really lucky in Kyoto. I met up with my lovely friend Yoshiko. It just so happened that her boyfriend from Holland(who i met last year) was visiting. It was so neat to have an amazing person come into your life for a moment then leave then reaapear. Oh, I was happy.
I also saw a live art/music performance which was really nice. It took place in a beautiful cafe.
I am back in Matsuyama slightly dreading work and looking for jobs in Kyoto. It is such a wonderful city.

oh i haven't updated in ages and feel terrible about it!
I'm doing really good. leaving for a 13 day trip to Tokyo, Nikko, Kawagoe, Kanazawa, and Kyoto!!! It will be crazy and amazing. I am going to dress up like a doll in Tokyo and find all the Japanese dolls and take pictures with them! <3 <3
I still have a crush on a boy who is weird about returning my messages. I found out he likes a really good friend, which is one of the reasons he feels uneasy about hanging out with me. Apparently she is involved in a relationship, but her boyfriend is living in the U.S. right now!! I think he is also afraid of being involved with a foriegner, for many reasons. So confusing.
I feel like me and Yuji are supposed to have secret crushes on each other. I saw him a few weeks ago at a club and he was so shy when I was talking to other people. Sitting at the table next to mine, but not saying anything. I saw him from the corner of my eye, slapped him and made hime sit with me:) But the next week I saw him dj and I was just as shy.

oh...i've been terrible about updating. slightly sad lately. boy issues, again.
will someone please tell me why boys are so confusing!! Everything was beautiful with Yuji. I visited him at work and he seemed so surprised and happy! and I caught him secretly glancing and smiling at me. A couple days later I sent him a message(phone calls are so expensive here) telling him how nice it was to visit him. I also suggested we get together for a movie or tea. I haven't heard back and it's been over a week (or two?).
I don't understand why he would express so much interest then all of a sudden end communication. I cried to my friend Lara(a neato Canadian friend)about the situation and she gave me a crazy compliment. She said I am gorgeous and most likely intimidate boys. I was so surprised and told her I really don't think about stuff like that when I look in the mirror. I always think about my odd shaped nose or how I need to pluck my brows. Anyways it was very sweet of her...even though it doesn't explain the whole Yuji situation. sigh.
Despite the moaning above, last night was too beautiful. I went to a show. A boy on Contrabass and a girl on accordion. It was in this tiny bar that looked like a 1920's speakeasy. The music was soo amazing and I understood a tiny bit of what the lady said!
Today I had my Japanese lessons and my first Japanese crush, Oza was working. We talked for a little bit which was nice. It drove me nuts though! While I was having my Japanese lesson there was a french lesson taking place. I guess I have a thing for french because my heart was thumping whenever the instructor spoke, which is ridiculous. When I was getting ready to leave Oza sat down with the others and started speaking French fluently. He speaks English, Japanese, and French fluently! no fair, no fair!! |

oh sorry it's been a while since my last post! Boy update. Last thurs. I went on a date with Yuji. A super cute boy I met at a party. He taught himself English by reading Peanuts comics!! He also studied at Kyoto University. I have such a big crush...monday was our second date which made me feel strange. Mainly because he said a bunch of stuff about foriegners. I guess he has seen gross foriegn boys prey on Japanese girls at bars(he Djs) And I thought oh, maybe he doesn't like me. But we spent 5 hours together and he sent me a very sweet message to my phone. We are both so shy. I couldn't even give him a hug goodbye. oh smitten smitten smitten.
i hate thinking about him all the time and wondering if he's thinking of me. and being insecure.
oh and thanks for the good luck wishes. I finally sent emma a package, a letter to my mom, and a letter to my dear friend tasha. i hope everyone is well and happy!

oh it's warming up here and all the delicate cherry blossoms have been replaced by green leaves.
I have a crush on a boy named Oza who works at the International Center and has a bowlie haircut. We passed by each other on our bikes, and both almost crashed. Another chance meeting caused me, my coworker and Oza to have tea and a long chat. <3 <3 he's 30 years old but looks 25.

my pa is such a doll. i visited him today, out of the blue he asked me what type of digi cam i have. none, i said. he was appalled and decided i needed one, so i could send him pics of japan. we drove to a bunch of different stores, all of which were closed since it is easter. he gave me some money instead so i can buy a digi cam tomorrow. i'm excited!
oh, i want to apologize to everyone for being such a terrible l.j. friend. i've been so bad about commenting and such lately...i've just been so busy.
